Wild and wonderful, vast and packed with character, Africa is an endless mosaic of humanity and culture, of nature and history. It's hard to get your head around a place that hosts both the dust-blown plains of the Serengeti and the Great Pyramid of Giza, where the wild swells of the Atlantic Ocean crash against one cape and the balmy Mediterranean Sea kisses another coast. But that's the unfathomable diversity that comes with this land. The upshot? Cheap flights to Africa could be your ticket to the lion-stalked hinterlands of Kenya, or the safari parks of South Africa. But they could also open up the cumin-scented bazaars of Marrakesh, the ancient relics of Egypt, and the shimmering corals of the Red Sea.
This iconic national park in northern Tanzania is a safari mecca. Come to stalk prides of lions and see huge herds of gazelles, zebras, and wildebeest. It's quintessential Africa.
Dating back more than 4,500 years, the Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Crashing skywards through much of Morocco, the Atlas are a hiking haven. Trails weave through rustic Berber villages to gigantic Jebel Toubkal at over 4,000 meters up.
