In a recent interview with radio hosts, Bruce Springsteen, a.k.a The Boss, told reporters he would move to Australia if Donald Trump was re-elected as President in November.
Springsteen has said several times before that he loves visiting Australia.
"Every time, we have nothing but good times down there. It’s always a treat to come. Love the people, love the geography, a great place for motorcycle trips, it’s close to our hearts".
"If Trump is re-elected – which he will not be; I’m predicting right now he’s gonna lose – if by some happenstance he should be, I’ll see you on the next plane."
Although he is confident that Democrat leader Joe Biden will win, the Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate has now teamed up with Triple M to convince the rock star to move over.
Mr Springsteen was chatting to media about his new album, Letter to You, when asked about his feelings towards the upcoming election.
Triple M's Flan, Bridge & Spida spoke to Mayor Tate on Tuesday, discussing ways they can convince the star to move over regardless of the elections outcome. On offer are unlimited tickets to AFL and NRL games, and a tour of a local whiskey bar.
Who knows? Pretty soon, the Boss may no longer be 'Livin in the USA'.
