After a surge in cases in Bali, the Balinese government reported recently that, despite an influx of domestic tourists, the popular island destination has recorded a drop in case numbers over the last month.
Over the weekend, the Bali COVID-19 task force reported that there were no deaths in the region on the 7th November, which is the first day in over 2.5 months without a COVID-related death recorded.
Currently, the mortality rate stands at 399, made up of 396 locals and 3 foreigners.
The total number of cases in Bali since the pandemic asdf began is 12,181. Currently, 625 cases are active and are in quarantine across 17different hospitals and isolation rooms across the island.
The island has been devastated by the lack of tourism since the pandemic began. One young WA man has taken to social media to highlight the plight of local residents and tourism venues who have suffered a complete loss in income over the last few months.
